Describe your last boating holiday in a sentence: A holiday on a houseboat is pure community
What was your favourite boating moment so far?: Mmmmm, I really have to think about what the best moment was, there were so many!  We laughed a lot and were active the whole day as there was so much to see and everything was exciting, and sometimes really thrilling. Leave your comfort zone and dare to try something new! But despite all the excitement, there is this deceleration that can probably only be achieved by being on the water. You also meet an incredible number of friendly and helpful people, and one moment that remains in my memory is of the lockkeeper in a marina in Muiden who sprinted 200m from his post to help us moor. We met many friendly helpers every day and experienced a lovely feeling of community in many situations.

Where have you travelled from? France
Describe your last boating holiday in a sentence: We reached the holy grail of our boating experiences with the Caledonian Canal.
What’s your favourite boating moment so far? That great thrill at the approach of the mythical lake of Loch Ness. After a serene entry into the ladder of locks of Fort Augustus, perfectly orchestrated by precise and courteous lock keepers, we finally see Loch Ness which, let’s admit it, was the primary reason of our journey!
A vast expanse of dark water, swept by a wind strong enough to create swirls and waves appear, called us for a few hours of sailing. We have experienced more difficult crossings, especially in Ireland on the large lakes of the North with a “destabilizing” swell in all the senses of the word. Small disappointment, however, on our arrival in the direction of Inverness…. we saw no trace, no movement, no sign of Nessie’s presence. We will certainly plan a return trip to photograph the monster of Loch Ness…. among others!
But, already, the Rideau Canal in Canada focuses all our attention and calls us for new discoveries!
